Front Camera · Front Radar · ACC · Lane Assist · Reverse Camera · Blind Spot
Professional ADAS calibration for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, Cupra and VW Commercial. Based in Durham - serving the entire North East. TEXA-equipped for precise, manufacturer-standard results.
Full range of ADAS calibration using TEXA professional equipment - all work carried out to manufacturer specification.
Calibration of the forward-facing windscreen camera for Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Assist, and Front Assist / AEB. Always required after windscreen replacement.
Alignment and calibration of the front bumper radar for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Front Assist emergency braking. Essential after any front-end collision, bumper removal, or replacement.
Adjustment and recalibration of rear-view and parking cameras. Covers standard reverse cameras, Area View 360° systems, and trailer assist cameras across the VWAG range.
Precise recalibration of Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist. Ensures correct lane marking detection and safe lateral positioning at all speeds.
Full diagnostic scan of all ADAS modules with live data review, fault code analysis, and clear written report. We identify the root cause of ADAS warning lights and sensor errors before any work begins.
ADAS sensors are highly sensitive. A small knock, component change, or height adjustment can throw calibration out far enough to make safety systems unreliable - or completely non-functional. These are the most common triggers:
The ADAS camera is bonded to the glass. Any windscreen change loses the calibration reference entirely - recalibration is mandatory, no exceptions.
Front or rear impact can misalign radar and camera sensors even when bodywork looks fine. Always recalibrate after accident repair.
Front radar units sit in or behind the bumper. Removal for repair, painting, or replacement always requires recalibration on refitting.
Steering angle and suspension geometry changes affect the reference angles for many ADAS systems - recalibration is needed after alignment.
Lowering springs, coilovers, air suspension work, or corner weight changes all affect ADAS sensor angles and require recalibration.
Any new radar unit, ADAS camera, or parking sensor module must be calibrated before the system becomes operational and safe.
A Front Assist, Lane Assist, ACC, or Blind Spot warning light almost always indicates the system requires attention and likely full recalibration.
Adding ACC, lane assist, front assist, or any other ADAS feature to a vehicle that didn't have it originally requires full coding and calibration.

We use TEXA professional ADAS calibration equipment - the same system trusted by main dealer workshops across Europe. TEXA provides guided, step-by-step calibration procedures matched exactly to the vehicle, system, and generation, ensuring results meet OEM specification every time.
Unlike generic code readers, TEXA's ADAS suite delivers live data monitoring, full sensor communication, and post-calibration verification - so you know the job is done right before the car leaves.
Workshop-only service. All ADAS calibrations are carried out at our Durham workshop - Unit 9, Dragon Lane, DH1 2XH. Static calibration requires a level, controlled environment to achieve manufacturer-standard accuracy.
The RCCS3 is TEXA's flagship ADAS calibration solution - used by main dealer workshops across Europe for static & dynamic calibration of all VWAG systems
Based in Durham, we serve the full North East region. Trade runs and repeat booking slots available.

Everything you need to know about ADAS calibration for VWAG vehicles.
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration is the process of precisely aligning and configuring the cameras, radar sensors, and other electronics that power safety features such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and blind spot detection. These systems rely on exact angular alignment to function correctly. Even a minor shift - from a windscreen replacement, bumper repair, or suspension change - can cause them to misread the road, leading to false alerts or dangerous failures in an emergency situation.
Yes - without exception. All modern VWAG vehicles with a front-facing camera have it mounted on or bonded to the windscreen. When the glass is replaced, the camera's calibration reference is completely lost. Driving with an uncalibrated camera means Lane Assist, AEB, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Front Assist may not respond correctly in an emergency. Recalibration is a safety-critical requirement, and is also necessary for insurance and warranty purposes.
Most calibrations take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. We'll give you a clear time estimate when you book.
Pricing depends on the vehicle, the number of systems being calibrated, and the type of calibration required (static or dynamic). We offer competitive pricing with no hidden charges. Trade accounts are available for garages, bodyshops, and glass fitters. Contact us for a quote - call 07902 096169 or email tony@northeastadas.co.uk.
Yes - we actively welcome trade customers including independent garages, bodyshops, franchise repairers, glass replacement companies, and tyre/alignment centres. We specialise in the Volkswagen Audi Group - VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, Cupra, and VW Commercial. By focusing exclusively on VWAG platforms, we have deep system knowledge and can offer a faster, more precise service than a generalist. If you have a non-VWAG vehicle, give us a call and we'll advise on the best route forward.
On many VWAG vehicles, yes. Steering geometry and suspension angles form part of the reference data used by ADAS systems. A four-wheel alignment or significant suspension work can shift these reference points, meaning lane assist and radar-based systems may not be pointing in exactly the right direction. We recommend checking for ADAS warning lights or running a diagnostic scan after any alignment work.
